Christina Lake Vacation Rentals
Terms and Policies
We appreciate your interest in our terms and policies for vacation rentals. If you have any further questions or concerns please e-mail us at info@christinalakevacation.com or phone us toll free at 1-866-447-9334.
Minimum Booking
In the off-peak season of late September to early June, most properties can be booked by the night with a minimum stay of 2 nights. Please call us for pricing.
Booking Deposit
The Booking Deposit is due at the time of reservation and is approximately 1/3 of the total vacation rental amount before taxes. You can pay the booking deposit by credit card (preferred) or cheque. If you pay by cheque, it must be received at our office with a current date, within 10 days of your reservation.
After booking, the cancellation policy applies.
Reservation Confirmation
Once we have received your booking deposit, we will provide you with a Confirmation & Contract that documents your custom vacation rental details, as well as information, rules and policies of the property you have booked.
A booking is not confirmed until we have received your booking deposit, and your signed Confirmation & Contract at our office.
Final Payment
The Final payment is the remainder of your vacation rental amount plus taxes. If you are booking within 30 days of arrival, then full payment is due at reservation time.
If you have booked more than 45 days in advance, you are requested to mail a cheque for the final payment that is dated for one month prior to your arrival date and addressed to Christina Lake Vacation Rentals. The payment should be mailed with your signed Confirmation and Contract.
If you prefer to pay the final payment by credit card, a fee of 3% of the final amount will be added to the final payment as a credit card fee. We will phone you a day before the cheque or Credit Card is processed.
Cancellation Policy

The cancellation fee is 10% of the total vacation rental amount before taxes or $100, which ever is greater, plus GST.

If you cancel 45 or more days prior to your arrival date, your booking deposit less the cancellation fee will be refunded.

If you cancel less than 45 days and more than 30 days from arrival, and the home or cottage is re-booked, we will also refund your booking deposit less the cancellation fee. If the home or cottage is not re-booked, then your booking deposit is forfeited.

If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival date, then your booking deposit is forfeited.

If you cancel within 14 days of your arrival date, then your total payment is forfeited.
Moving Fee

If you request to move from the property you have booked to another property, the fee is $100 plus GST per vacation home or cottage, per week. Moves are allowed only with special permission from the property manager and they are never allowed within 45 days of arrival date.
Change Over Days
Changeover days are usually Friday and Saturday, especially from mid June to mid September.
Check in Time
Check in time is 4:00 pm.
Check out Time
Check out time is 11:00 am.
Pets
A few of our Vacation Homes will allow 1 pet dog that is over 1 year old, but special permission is always required and restrictions apply. Pets are never allowed in any bedroom or up on any furniture. They must be walked away from the property and cleaned up after. There is also an extra fee of $70.00 plus tax(es).
Additional Policies
Any illegal activities are prohibited and will result in immediate eviction.
Quiet time is between 11:00 pm and 8:00 am. All of the properties we manage are in residential areas.
All Vacation Homes and Cottages are designated non-smoking.
If you book a property with our company, the vacation property, yards, beach and wharf are for guests booked at the property only . Some properties do not allow any visitors. Others allow some visitors; a maximum of up to 4 people visiting for up to 4 hours, twice a week during your stay. All properties at Christina Lake are on septic systems and require special care that is quite different from public sewer systems.
If a property has laundry facilities or a dishwasher, special biodegradable laundry and dishwasher soap has to be used and bleach is not allowed.
Additional Information
Some of the properties are on community water systems. For others, the water supply is from the lake.
Some of our properties supply phones for local calls, please use calling cards for long distance.
A few of our vacation properties will allow tents or RV's, but only with special permission and at a cost of $25.00 per night for 2 people. This must be arranged prior to arrival or at the time of booking.
